After years as a journalist and producer, self-taught writer and director Lauren Hoover was driven to create her own films. Her directorial debut, The Longest Day of the Year, shot during the pandemic with a budget of $600, achieved remarkable success by winning seven national awards and being selected for thirty film festivals worldwide. It is now available for streaming on Roku TVs. Favorites marks Lauren's second short film as a director. Currently, she is working on rewrites for her first feature film and TV pilot.
