The Big P!VOT is a mentorship program for individuals 35 and older looking to make a meaningful move—pivoting into or within the entertainment industry. Whether you’re exploring a creative path for the first time or ready to take a leap, this program is here to support your next bold move.
You don’t need to be coming from a corporate background or know anyone in the industry— this program is designed to meet you exactly where you are. No film school, no prior credits needed.
This is a space for late bloomers, career changers, and lifelong creatives who are finally making the leap. Whether you’re interested in film, digital media, and beyond.
Selected participants will be matched with seasoned professionals—including Emmy Award-winning editors, producers, directors, casting directors, and more—for personalized, one-on-one mentorship sessions. Our goal is to provide real-world guidance and direction as you build your path into entertainment.
Whether you’re a writer ready to shape your first script, a performer exploring the creative space, or a storyteller looking for where to begin, all you need is a vision and the courage to begin, this program is here to support that.

How to Apply
Choose one of the following categories:
A. The Big P!VOT — Essay Submission
Tell us in 500 words or less (3 of 3 within):
- What brought you to this moment?
- Why entertainment, and why now?
- What do you hope to gain—and what do you bring?
B. The Big P!VOT — Video Submission
Submit a 3-5 minute video. Talk to us. Be honest, be raw, be you.
The Rules (But Not Too Many)
- Must be 35+ by the submission deadline
- USA residents only (for now!)
- No prior experience required—just passion and drive
- One submission per person
- Be available for Zoom meetings and in-person gatherings where and when possible
- A laptop or an iPhone for Zoom, Google Drive, and email
How It’ll Go Down
Here’s how the process works when registration is open.
Submissions Close — September 5th, 2025
- You’ll hear from us after we read every single one. Yes, we will read every submission.
- First Round Finalists — You’ll hop on Zoom with the StreamFest team for a one-on-one conversation, to discuss your goals and help pair you with a mentor.
- Final Mentor Match — You’re matched with a mentor who fits your vision and creative goals, and they will pair with one or two mentees.
Two Private Mentor Sessions
- Session One (2 months): Make a plan. Set goals.
- Session Two (3 months later): Check in. Course correct.
Because real change takes more than one call, after each session you’ll have homework.
