Julia grew up in Hanover, New Hampshire. She is an actor, writer, and director based in New York City. A graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, she earned her BA (Honors) in Acting. In her second year of training, she booked her first professional voiceover job with BBC Radio.

Julia made her network debut in the HBO series Insecure, shortly after booking a role in the Showtime pilot The Wood. Behind the camera, Julia has worked in the production office for HBO's Silicon Valley, Generation, Insecure, and The Idol, as well as the Netflix series Special and the Amazon series Hunters X-Ray.
